PALEMBANG - The Papua Province contingent again presented a bronze medal at the VI National Recreational Sports Festival2022 (Fornas), at Opi Mall Palembang, South Sumatra, Monday (3/7/2022).
The bronze medal was won from the Line Dance competition in the category of 41 years and above with 147 points.
Meanwhile, the gold medal was won by East Java and silver by Banten Province.
The Chairman of ILDI Papua, Vince Rumaropen after the match admitted that he was proud of the results achieved by ILDI Papua. The participation this time is the first in the national level event for Fornas.
"The result today is very proud. Even though I won the bronze medal, I as the chairman of ILDI Papua feel proud because we only trained for six months".
"The Line Dance competition was attended by all provinces in Indonesia, but praise be to God we were able to get very extraordinary results," she explained.
Meanwhile, dance teacher of ILDI Papua, Anita, could not hide her emotion after her team won the bronze medal.
"Although we were only given a fairly short training time, they entrusted me as a coach. And this is a good result," she said.
In the future, she hopes that ILDI Papua activists will continue to work hard to improve their achievements. ***
