JAYAPURA - Good news for the State Civil Apparatus (ASN) of the Papua Provincial Government. The 2024 Employee Income Allowance (TPP) is confirmed to be paid shortly.
This assurance was conveyed by the Assistant for Government Affairs of the Papua Regional Secretary, Yohanis Walilo, when meeting civil servants who held an action at the Governor's office yard, Jayapura City, Monday (27/5/2024).
"The Employee Income Allowance will be paid soon," said Walilo.
According to him, Papua Acting Governor Muhammad Ridwan Rumasukun has instructed relevant parties to make payments immediately.
However, TPP payments will be adjusted to regional financial capabilities.
"The TPP was originally paid according to time. But it is hampered because of the lack of budget of the Papua Provincial Government after the expansion of the New Autonomous Region (DOB) in Papua."
"Papua used to manage IDR 8 trillion, now only IDR 2.8 trillion left in 2024, divided into four DOBs. While our current employees are approximately 9 thousand people, who have just moved around 200 more to the Central Papua Provincial Government "he said.
Walilo hopes that even though TPP payments are not as large as the value received in previous years, civil servants are asked to accept with great heart.
There is a development process and other services that the Papua Provincial Government must finance.
In addition, he reminded the head of the Regional Apparatus Organization within the Papua Provincial Government to pay attention to civil servants who ask for approval for credit applications to banks.
"If you have taken credit from more than one bank, of course, it has an impact on its performance, especially the provision of TPP aims to improve the welfare of civil servants, improve the quality of civil servants' performance and service to the community, but if salaries have been deducted at the bank, the impact will be on performance," he said.
Meanwhile, the demonstration of civil servants from some Regional Apparatus Organizations within the Papua Provincial Government on Monday afternoon demanded TPP payments from January to May 2024.
Solidarity of Papua Civil Servants also asked the Acting Governor of Papua to process TPP payments by early June 2024. ***
