JAYAPURA – The Governor of Papua officially opened the 2025 Financial Inclusion Month Grand Event, represented by the Head of the Bureau of Economy and Development Administration of the Papua Provincial Secretariat.
The 2025 Financial Inclusion Month Grand Event was organized by the Papua Office of the Financial Services Authority in collaboration with the Papua Provincial Financial Services Industry Communication Forum. The event brought together various financial service institutions and was held in the courtyard of Bank Papua Headquarters on Saturday morning, October 25, 2025.
In his remarks, delivered by the Head of the Bureau of Economy and Development Administration, the Governor of Papua stated that the theme — “Financial Inclusion for All, Prosperous People, Advanced Indonesia” — aligns with the Vision of Papua Province 2025–2030: “A New Papua Transformation that is Advanced and Harmonious.”
Therefore, the Papua Provincial Government fully supports the initiatives of the Financial Services Authority and Financial Services Industry Communication Forum in promoting financial literacy and inclusion, as well as in strengthening the productive business ecosystem based on Papua’s leading commodities — including agriculture, fisheries, plantations, livestock, tourism, and the creative economy.
Furthermore, he urged all financial service industry players in Papua Province to intensify education, training, mentoring, and financing facilitation programs for MSMEs (Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises) in Papua.
With a spirit of collaboration and strong synergy, he expressed confidence that Papua will become an integral part of Indonesia’s national economic transformation.
Finally, together with all participants of Financial Inclusion Month, he extended congratulations on the 100th Anniversary (One Century) of the Prophecy of Rev. I.S. Kijne, commemorated from October 25, 1925, to October 25, 2025. ***
