JAYAPURA – The Papua Provincial Government, through the Regional Government Budget Team and represented by the Acting Head of the Papua Regional Development, Research, and Innovation Planning Agency, aims to submit the General Budget Policy and Temporary Budget Priority and Ceiling (KUA-PPAS) materials for the 2026 fiscal year in the third week of November.
With this schedule, the Papua Draft Regional Revenue and Expenditure Budget for 2026 can be discussed with the Papua Provincial House of Representatives by the end of November, and the Regional Budget for the 2026 fiscal year can be ratified in December.
“Our target is to complete the KUA-PPAS up to its draft stage by the end of November, so we will still have enough time,” said Acting Head of the Regional Development, Research, and Innovation Planning Agency of Papua, Jimmy Alberto Thesia.
He also stated that there are no significant obstacles in preparing the KUA-PPAS materials. His team is currently adjusting to the governor, particularly regarding the governor’s 100-day priority programs.
“So, whatever the goals of the governor’s vision and mission are, everything can be aligned from the beginning,” he concluded. ***
