For the first time, Papua Province has been nominated for the 2025 Regional Financial Access Acceleration Team (TPAKD) Award, organized by the Financial Services Authority of the Republic of Indonesia (OJK-RI). (October 10)

President Prabowo Subianto inaugurated the Governor and Deputy Governor of Papua for the 2025–2030 term on Wednesday, October 8, 2025. The Papua Provincial Government has received an additional transfer of IDR 100 billion from the central government through the Ministry of Finance. The extra funds are expected to strengthen the region’s fiscal capacity in supporting development and improving public services.
