The Indonesian Development Monitoring Institute (IDM Institute) awarded the title of Mr. Papua Sports Development to the Governor of Papua, Lukas Enembe, SIP, MH who is also the Chairman of KONI Papua.

Director of Executive IDM Institute, Fahmi Hafel said the awarding of this degree was based on the assessment of Lukas Enembe's success in building International and world-class Sports and Sports Infrastructure in Papua. And all that despite the initial struggle of Lukas Enembe, SIP, MH who managed to make Papua as the host of PON XX in 2021.

Fahmi Hafel explained that IDM Institute is a National Organization Institute, which was founded in 2005 as a socio-political research institute in August 2006.

IDM brings together social scientists from various disciplines to pursue and conduct research sponsored by international and national institutions as well as private foundations, so-called state-owned enterprises.

Researchers in Indonesia Development Monitoring from various disciplines such as Economics, Education, Environmental Studies, Communication Sciences, Political Science, Public Administration, Sociology, Social Statistics and Urban Planning.

IDM has four research centers: the Center for Science, Technology and Economic Policy, the Center for Environmental Policy, the Agroindustrial Research Center, the Center for International and National Political Analysis, and the Center for Global Change Research.

In addition, the Institute currently has one Work Group, on Regional Development, Law, Society, and Global Justice.

National political figure who is also the Chairman of the Founding Board of IDM Institute, Arief Poyuono who was accompanied by Adrian Indra (Expert Staff of the Indonesian Institute for Election Studies / LKPI) also supported and stated that the title given by IDM institute to Lukas Enembe was very appropriate.

And Arief Poyuono congratulated Lukas Enembe for his achievements from IDM Institute. According to Arief Poyuono, with the implementation of National Sports Week XX in Papua, it will give a lot of positive impacts, both in terms of regional development, as well as the development of Papuan Sports.

The persistence of Lukas Enembe who wants to build Papua in various fields, in line with the concept of President Jokowi development that wants to build Indonesia from the East.

The potential of natural talents of Papuan athletes combined with a variety of sophisticated and modern sports facilities will certainly bring the voice of the Era of Sports Revival in the Land of Papua.

Arief Poyuono hopes that in the future, Papuan athletes can scent the name of Papua and also Indonesia in the International and World sports scene.

Meanwhile, General Secretary of KONI Papua, Kenius Kogoya, SP, M.Si who confirmed expressed his heart and pride for the awarding to Governor Lukas Enembe, S.IP., M.H. by national organizations such as IDM Institute.

Kenius Kogoya stated that the thoughts and ideals of Lukas Enembe, S.IP., M.H. to build Papua in various fields are very high. National Sports Week XX Papua 2021 is like an invaluable award for Papua, and it is a rare and prestigious moment. 50 years in the future Papua will not necessarily be able to repeat something like this.

Papua's success as the host of National Sports Week XX in 2021 will be recorded in gold ink in the history of civilization building on Papuan soil.

According to Kenius Kogoya, it is appropriate if Lukas Enembe, S.IP., M.H was appointed as the Father of Papuan Sports Development, because his services are very remarkable in fighting for the implementation of National Sports Week XX of Papua.

As General Secretary of KONI Papua, Kenius Kogoya always worked with Lukas Enembe who also served as Chairman of KONI Papua.

Evidently, until the day of implementation of National Sports Week XX in 2021, all preparations can be done well and professionally.

Kenius Kogoya realizes that the task and responsibility of preparing the implementation of PON XX is a job with a National Level, the self-esteem and dignity of indigenous Papuan are also at stake in the readiness as the host of National Sports Week XX, so that Papua can reach two successes at once, namely Successful Implementation and also successful achievements.

Kenius Kogoya said he would try to discuss with Governor Enembe about the technicality of the event of handing over the plaque and certificate of appointment of Lukas Enembe, S.IP., M.H. as the Father of Papua Sports Development by IDM Institute.
