JAYAPURA – Acting Regional Secretary of Papua M. Ridwan Rumasukun asked Echelon II officials in the provincial government to have breakthroughs and innovations in answering challenges in the increasingly complex field of governance in the future.
"Because with the better strategy, it is expected that officials will no longer be oppressed and left behind by the progress of the times in community service and development," said Regional Secretary Ridwan when delivering remarks at the Second Level National Leadership Training XXV in 2021, Tuesday (08/31/2021).
Still, according to Ridwan, one of the efforts made by the provincial government to increase the capacity of the officials is to hold Level II National Leadership Training intended for the first high office or administrative officer.
They will be prepared to occupy the position of first high leader. "Therefore, the training attended by 54 participants from Papua, West Papua, Mimika Regency, Paniai Regency and Cenderawasih University is very important. Because that way, it will increase their capabilities of leadership," he said.
He added, currently Papua Province is dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic and other things. Therefore, it takes a mindset and work ethic that can move fast to respond to the various challenges.
"That is, every training activity held is actually a very crucial part for the development of official leadership competence"
"This is also the most important part of forming public sector leaders who are able to initiate and manage the changes expected, not only changes in cognition, but also aspects of affection and leadership," he said. ***
