JAYAPURA – Sepak Takraw Papua Team also donated medals to contingent National Sports Week Papua in 2021.

A total of two gold medals were successfully brought home by the Papuan team in the men's and women's Takraw Hoop match numbers, at the match held at GOR Trikora UNCEN, Sunday (09/26/2021).

Coach of Takraw Papua Football Team, Ahmad Yamin is grateful and proud of the achievement of two gold medals in the Takraw Hoop number.

"I thank you for the support of all parties. KONI's support is also amazing so that we can do the program that we arrange until finally, Thank God we can present two gold medals," Ahmad said on Sunday (09/26/2021).

His party is still optimistic, Papua team will again donate gold medals. There are eight other match numbers.

"We have four bronze medals in sight, so we have to turn them into silver or gold. The point is we are very optimistic that we can achieve the best results," he stressed.

Ahmad Yamin on that occasion ensured that he would continue to motivate his athletes not to be satisfied quickly and always excited to play the next match.

"I hope this gold medal can motivate other sports to be able to present gold medals for the Papuan contingent so that the hopes of Governor Lukas Enembe Papua to become the general champion of National Sports Week XX can be realized," he added.

Previously the Papua team had won two gold medals and one silver medal from Cricket and kite flying.
