Jayapura - Chairman of the Increase Consumption of Fish Food Forum (Forikan) of Papua Yulce W. Enembe encourages the citizens of Papua to like to eat fish because it contains high nutrition that is good for body growth and general health.
In addition to high protein, fish also contains omega-3 fatty acids needed for brain growth, as well as vitamin D, calcium minerals and phosphorus minerals, all three of which are needed by children in bone growth.
"For sure this fish is rich in vitamins and other minerals such as vitamin B2, iron, zinc, iodine, magnesium, and potassium ".
"All these vitamins and minerals are certainly needed by children to support the growth and development of children as a whole," said Yulce Enembe in Jayapura, regarding the commemoration of national fish day on November 25, 2021.
In addition to awakening the Papua fisheries sector, fondness for eating fish is also very good to avoid cases of stunting or low height-for-age in children that occur in some areas.
"Because if the children like to eat fish, they will be healthy, strong, and smart and in the future can grow a strong young generation that participates in the implementation of development in Papua in the future," he said.
Head of Papua Marine Affairs and Fisheries, Iman Djuniawal in his work program is strongly committed to making the marine and fisheries sector a driver of the community economy. Papua has a huge potential for marine resources and fisheries.
Where the program likes to eat fish becomes one that is carried out to make the marine sector as the "motor" of the economic drivers of the community.
"With the Increase Consumption of Fish Food Forum, we will continue to campaign to eat fish," he concluded. ***
