JAYAPURA - The Papua Provincial Government received a working visit from Commission IX of the DPR RI, Tuesday (12/7/2022) in Jayapura.
The visit of Commission IX of the House of Representatives of the Republic of Indonesia in the context of the recess of the trial period V of the 2021-2022 Session Year.
The Commission IX team of the House of Representatives of the Republic of Indonesia during its visit to Jayapura, Papua, was chaired by Emanuel Melkiades Laka Lena from the Faction of the Golongan Karya Party (Golkar), East Nusa Tenggara Electoral Region.
Emanuel told reporters after the meeting that the purpose of the visit was to absorb various aspirations regarding important issues in the fields of health, employment and population.
"As in the health aspect regarding the handling of the COVID-19 pandemic, including malaria, as well as challenges related to the needs of health workers and doctors," he said.
Meanwhile, in the meeting, he said, his team also absorbed aspirations about the challenges and handling of stunting problems that require synergy from the central to the regional level.
"Because there is indeed a lot of potential that can be done to overcome stunting in Papua. But it all depends on how we can move it synergistically with all our strengths," he said.
His party, he continued, also noted the issue of employment in Papua, in order to ensure the needs and prospects of manpower that are running as they should.
"Including earlier, we got a request for training through the job training (BLK). I think this is good and it has been responded to by the relevant technical instruments," he said. ***
