JAYAPURA - The Regional Office of the Directorate General of Treasury (DJPb) of Papua Province stated that the distribution of village funds in the local area experienced a number of obstacles.
This was due to security turmoil in the mountainous region district, so some local village officials had to leave their homes because they were displaced.
"We have already submitted a request to the central government to be granted dispensation. Hopefully, the approval can be agreed so that village funds that have not been paid in several villages can be paid immediately," explained the Head of the Regional Office of the Directorate General of Treasury (DJPb) of Papua Province, Burhani AS, to reporters in Jayapura, Friday (15/7/2022).
It is known that as many as 19 villages in Nduga Regency, Papua, have not received village funds until July 2022.
The handover of village fund assistance to 19 villages is still in process because it is too late to apply for village fund disbursement.
"A total of 19 villages in Nduga District were left behind. So it has not had time to file a bill but the deadline is over. That's why we apply for dispensation to the central government," he explained.
Meanwhile, the distribution of village funds in Papua in general has reached around 40 percent. This figure is claimed by the Regional Office of the Directorate General of Treasury of Papua to be quite good. ***
