JAYAPURA - The River Basin Center (BWS) of Papua has completed a tertiary irrigation development project which is part of the first phase of the 2022 Irrigation Water Use Improvement Acceleration Program (P3TGAI).
The completion of the project was marked by the handover of the results of work from BWS Papua to representatives of the Water User Farmers Association (P3A)/ The Association of Water User Farmers Association (GP3A), which was centered on the P3A land of Tirto Agung, West Koya, Muara Tami District, Jayapura City, Papua, Tuesday (26/07) morning, as the release received by the editor.
In addition, it was also carried out symbolically the opening of the irrigation water faucet by the Assistant II of the Jayapura City Regional Office, Ir. Widi Hartanti, then continued with rice planting by the Assistant of Regional Secretary accompanied by the Head of BWS Papua, Nimbrot Rumaropen ST.MT and the head of section of BWS Papua and invited guests who were present.
PPK OP SDA II BWS Papua, Neilzen Williams Wambrauw in his report said, the implementation of P3TGAI in 2022 was carried out in 2 phases. Phase 1 was carried out in the Jayapura City and Regency area and Phase 2 was carried out in Nabire Regency.
"Phase 1 has been carried out from April to mid-July and currently handover activities are being carried out," he said.
