JAYAPURA - The Regional Drinking Water Company (PDAM) of Jayapura has officially patented the Robongholo and Nanwani bottled water trademarks at the Ministry of Law and Human Rights of the Republic of Indonesia.
The trademark certificate of bottled water products for the pride of the people of Jayapura was handed over by Acting Director General of Intellectual Property, Razilu to the Director of PDAM Jayapura Entis Sutisna, in Jayapura, Monday (22/8/2022).
The handover of certificates was also witnessed by the Minister of Law and Human Rights, Yasonna Laoly, Papua Regional Secretary Muhammad Ridwa Rumasukun and regional heads in 29 districts and cities throughout Papua.
After the handover, The President Director, Entis could not cover his pride, that the two bottled water products owned by PDAM Jayapura now have permanent legal force specifically for trademarks.
He also did not hesitate to dedicate these breakthroughs to plumbers whose daily lives are struggling to provide clean water services to the residents of Jayapura and its surroundings.
"And this will certainly be our motivation so that Robongholo and Nanwani bottled drinking water products, can further increase their business. As well as being able to improve the company and in turn will be able to increase the Regional Revenue (PAD)," he hoped.
Entis on that occasion did not forget to appreciate the Regional Office of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights of Papua who helped issue certificates for two packaging products owned by PDAM Jayapura.
So reflecting on the conveniences he passed in issuing trademark certificates at the Ministry of Law and Human Rights of Papua, he advised MSMEs to immediately register their merchandise, so that a certificate would be issued.
"The current management of IPR, I think, is fast and does not take long. So that through the submission of Robongholo and Nanwani trademark certificates, I hope MSMEs can be motivated to register their trademarks as soon as possible".
"Because this certificate is important so that no other party has preceded registering the trademark, even though we are the first to sell and manage the trademark," he concluded. ***
