JAYAPURA - Papua Governor Lukas Enembe welcomed the issuance of Presidential Regulation Number 121 of 2022 concerning the Steering Agency for the Acceleration of Special Autonomy Development of Papua signed by the President on October 21, 2022.

Governor Enembe stated that the Papua Provincial Government is ready to cooperate and coordinate with the agency chaired by Vice President Ma'ruf Amin.

This is as stated by the Spokesperson of the Governor of Papua, Muhammad Rifai Darus, in Jayapura, Monday (31/10/2022).

"The Governor welcomes the Presidential Decree on the Acceleration of Papuan Special Autonomy Development which was formed. And ready to work together," Rifai said.

Previously, the President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo issued Presidential Regulation of the Republic of Indonesia Number 121 of 2022 concerning the Steering Agency for the Acceleration of Papua Special Autonomy Development.

The Steering Agency for the Acceleration of Papua Special Autonomy Development is a nonstructural institution that is under and responsible to the President.

This agency is chaired by the Vice President and consists of the Minister of Home Affairs, Minister of National Development Planning/Head of the National Development Planning Agency, Minister of Finance, and one representative from each province in Papua Province. ***
