JAYAPURA - Head of the Regional Revenue Management Agency of Papua Province, Setyo Wahyudi is optimistic that the target of Regional Original Revenues (PAD) can be achieved in the last two months.
The reason is that the realization of PAD until the beginning of November has reached IDR 998.6 billion or 93.36 percent of the target of IDR 1.06 trillion.
"Moreover, this November will also enter the Surface Water Tax (PAP) of PT. Freeport Indonesia is around IDR 19 billion more, then the Motor Vehicle Fuel Tax (PBBKB) will also enter around IDR 20 billion more".
"So we are optimistic that the PAD target will be boosted and achieved in the last two months," explained Setyo in Jayapura, Thursday (3/11/2022).
Setyo further explained that the realization of PAD amounted to 93.36 percent of which was sourced from Motor Vehicle Tax (PKB) of IDR 214.1 billion and Motor Vehicle Name Reversal Duty (BBNKB) of IDR 118.6 billion.
So that if tax revenues from two sources, namely PAP and PBBKB can be assumed, the realization of Papuan PAD in 2022 will reach the target and even over target.
"These two sources have totaled 40 billion, so it is estimated that in the last two months there has been an income of 80 billion, this means that from two sources we have over-targeted, have not included receipts yet from PKB , BBNKB and others in two months," he explained.
Wahyudi admitted that the situation of increasing fuel oil (BBM) certainly has an effect on decreasing people's purchasing power, which also has an impact on the level of tax payments.
"It's just that, with the pkb fine exemption policy, it is hoped that it can help residents a little," he said. ***
