JAYAPURA - Assistant for Economic Affairs and People Welfare of the Regional Secretary of Papua Muhammad Musa'ad believes that the budget absorption of the local Regional Apparatus Organization (OPD) can reach 90 percent by the end of 2022.
This is because it has become customary in Papua, for every third-party billing, it is more often done in November or December.
"So the new absorbent data shows an increase in November and December".
"Of course, because many of the bills of entrepreneurs or contractors come in November and December based on our experience," explained Musa'ad in Jayapura, Friday.
However, he continued, the Papua Provincial Government is still trying to increase the absorption of the Regional Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBD) ahead of the end of 2022, through various breakthroughs.
Among them is by controlling inflation in the local area.
"The Papua Provincial Government has committed that budget absorption must be high in order to also control inflation".
"It means, money must circulate a lot so that there are no more speculations that develop in society. For Papua, there was an adjustment in government policy so that it was a little bit stagnant for the absorption of the budget realization," he said. ***
