JAYAPURA - The realization of Original Regional Income (PAD) of Papua in 2022 is confirmed to be over the target. As of December 16, 2022, it is certain that the realization of PAD has reached IDR 2.1 trillion or over the target of IDR 22.5 billion.

According to the Head of the Papua Regional Revenue Management Agency (Bappenda), Setyo Wahyudi, despite the over-target, there is still one source of Papuan PAD that has not reached the target.

"Namely from other sectors of legitimate PAD, where this part has not achieved the target".

"Hopefully, students until the end of the year can achieve the target or over target," he explained.

As for the realization target of PAD of Papua in 2023, said Setyo is IDR 587 billion or down around 70 percent more than the previous year target.

Even so, his party remains optimistic that it can achieve the PAD realization target in 2023.

"We will maximize existing sources of income such as Motor Vehicle Tax (PKB) and others".

"Of course, in the future, all sources of Papuan PAD need to continue to be improved even though they have increased from year to year. Especially next year because the source of Papuan PAD has been handed over to three of the New Autonomous Regions," he said. ***
