JAYAPURA - The value of Papua exports in January 2023 was recorded at US$ 297.31 million, down 53.56 percent compared to the previous month of US$ 640.25 million.
This was conveyed by the Head of the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) of Papua Province Adriana Carolina, in Jayapura, Thursday (16/2/2023).
"If we look at the type, the exports this month are in the form of non-oil and gas exports worth US$ 297.3132 million and in the form of oil and gas worth US$ 2,386," said the Head of BPS, Adriana.
The exports to the six main countries in January 2023 were recorded at US$ 210.82 million, a decrease of 59.50 percent compared to its value in December 2022 of US$ 1520.55 million.
"Meanwhile, exports to other countries were valued at US$ 86.49 million in January 2023," she said.
She added that the export of metal, slag and ash ore (HS26) was worth US$ 294.66 million in January 2023, the exports of Timber & Goods from Wood (HS44) worth US$2.57 million.
"And there is no Export of Fish & Other Aquatic Animals (HS03) in January 2023. Other Non-Oil and Gas Exports worth US$ 0.08 million sent directly from ports in Papua," she explained. ***
