JAYAPURA - The Daily Executive (PLH) of Papua Governor Muhammad Ridwan Rumasukun asked the new management of Papua Divestasi Mandiri Company to work optimally to realize the share ownership of Freeport Indonesia Company according to the portion determined by the government.
This was conveyed by the Governor, after inaugurating the Officers of the Board of Directors and Commissioners of Papua Divestasi Mandiri Company at the Papua Youth Creative Hub Building, Jayapura City, Monday (27/3/2023).
"I hope Papua Divestasi Mandiri Company can also cooperate with the Papua Provincial Government and Mimika Regency Government to realize the share ownership of Freeport Indonesia Company''.
"So that it can bring benefitThe Governor conveyed this for the Papua Provincial Government and Mimika Regency Government and the community in the context of regional development," explained the Governor on the sidelines of the inauguration.
Ridwan hopes that the new administrators also understand that the portion of Papuan BUMD has first been implemented by a consortium of SOEs.
"So when Papua Divestasi Mandiri Company was formed, the task must be carried out to purchase shares from the BUMN consortium," he added.
Therefore, he continued, the Papua Provincial Government and Mimika Regency have committed to forming a collaboration team.
"This collaboration team was formed to assist the Board of Directors and Commissioners in the context of purchasing shares in the BUMN consortium and agreements that must be prepared to be discussed with the SOE consortium," he said. ***
