JAYAPURA - The Central Government has officially set April 22 and 23, 2023 as Eid al-Fitr 1444 H / 2023 A.D. Meanwhile, the national holiday with Eid al-Fitr is on April 19-21 and April 24-25, 2023.
Following up on the determination, the Papua Provincial Government immediately issued a Circular Letter stipulating holidays and joint leave based on the Central Government's decision.
Acting Governor of Papua Muhammad Ridwan Rumasukun through the Head of the Papua Communication and Informatics Department Jeri A. Yudianto ensured that the circular letter had been distributed to all agencies within the local government.
Thus, it is hoped that the State Civil Apparatus (ASN) within the Papua Provincial Government will be back to work on Wednesday, April 26, 2023.
"The point is that the Governor asked civil servants not to extend vacation time. Because the national holiday given is quite long".
"Of course, the Governor did not prohibit civil servants from going home but was asked to return to the office on time. Because sanctions are waiting if you add vacation time," said Jeri.
On that occasion, Jeri appealed to all civil servants within the Papua Provincial Government to maintain tolerance between religious leaders during this Ramadan month.
"This means that for employees who are Christians, it is possible to eat in his place to honor colleagues who are fasting. So that a sense of tolerance can be created in the place where he works," he said. ***
