JAYAPURA - The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) of Papua recorded that as many as 20,156 registered guests stayed at the star-rated hotels during February 2023. Thus, the Room Occupancy Rate (TPK) of Star Hotels during February 2023 is calculated to reach 33.63 percent.
This was conveyed by the Head of Central Statistics Agency of Papua, Adriana Carolina, in a statement to the press on Wednesday, in Jayapura.
"In February 2023, the average length of stay of guests (RLMT) of Star Hotels reached 1.58 days. As for the Room Occupancy Rate of Star Hotels during February 2023 which reached 33.63 percent, it increased by 6.96 points compared to February 2022 which was 26.67 percent," she explained.
According to Adriana, the Room Occupancy Rate of Non-Star Hotel reached 22.34 percent, an increase of 4.36 points compared to February 2022 which was 17.98 percent.
While compared to the same month in the previous year, the Room Occupancy Rate of Star Hotels decreased by 4.03 points and the non-star rose by 4.78 points.
"The RLMT at Star Hotels reaches 1.58 days in February 2023, a decrease of 0.02 points compared to January 2023 which is 1.60 days."
"Meanwhile, the RLMT of Non-Star Hotels reached 1.73 days in February 2023, an increase of 0.11 points compared to January 2023," she said. ***
