JAYAPURA - After being inaugurated on December 30, 2022, the renovatedGovernor's Office was finally occupied by the local State Civil Apparatus (ASN), Monday (22/5/2023).
Before entering the new building, the civil servants first followed the briefing in the yard of the Governor's Office Doc II, Jayapura, while listening to directions from the Acting Governor of Papua Muhammad Ridwan Rumasukun.
After attending a meeting with the State Civil Apparatus Commission (KASN) at the Papua Youth Creative Hub, Jayapura City, this afternoon, Acting Governor, Muhammad Ridwan Rumasukun admitted, along with a number of other civil servants had started to work at the new Governor's Office.
Although the official start will be on June 1, 2023, all civil servants of the Papua Provincial Government secretariat are encouraged to immediately take office.
"So that public services can run optimally so that we have started working today (in the new governor's office)," explained Ridwan.
The Regional Secretary of Papua Derek Hegemur said the new building would be occupied by the regional secretariat of the Papua Provincial Government, such as the Bureau of General, Organization and Government. It was held earlier than scheduled in June, it aims to prepare space to maximize public services.
"Our suggestion, the secretariat can be active in the not-too-distant future. Of course, so that public services can be maximized, "he said,
Derek ensured that the new Governor's office could also be occupied by other Regional Apparatus Organizations (OPD),such as agencies. However, it will prioritize Regional Apparatus Organizations whose buildings were damaged by earthquakes or other similar things. ***
