JAYAPURA - The Daily Executive of Papua Governor Muhammad Ridwan Rumasukun gave certainty to pay the Additional Employee Income (TPP) of the State Civil Apparatus (ASN) of the provincial government for the 2023 fiscal year.
However, the submission of Additional Employee Income must be proposed to the Papua Regional Representative Council (DPRP) at the 2023 Revised Regional Budget session.
"After approval, we will pay the Additional Employee Income," explained Governor Ridwan in Jayapura, on Monday (5/6/2023) morning, at the Governor's Office, Jayapura.
He explained that TPP payments, which were originally paid on time, must be hampered due to the lack of budget for the Papua Provincial Government after the expansion of the New Autonomous Region (DOB) in Papua.
Papua, which used to manage IDR 8 trillion, now only has IDR 2.3 trillion left in 2023, because the main budget is now divided into four. While there are 17,000 employees, the new ones move around 5,000 more.
However, Ridwan assures that the TPP paid this year is not as much as the value received in previous years.
"That's why I encourage the Regional Management and Revenue Agency (Bappenda) of Papua Provinceto boost regional revenues so the TPP value of the Papua Provincial Government ASN can be distributed the same as before."
"Because this TPP grant aims to improve the welfare of civil servants, but of course, it must be followed by improving the quality of civil servants' performance and service to the community," he said. ***
