JAYAPURA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) said some companies in Papua were in arrears with motor vehicle tax (PKB).
Meanwhile, two of them are in arrears of around IDR 1 billion.
This was revealed in a meeting between the Corruption Eradication Commission and the ranks of the Papua Regional Revenue Management Agency, on Friday (17/5/2024).
"There are companies in Papua that have not paid PKB obligations. It is not cooperative so we need to assist so that there is no neglect from the government and the company side, we must obey and pay taxes," explained the Head of Supervision Coordination for Region V of the Corruption Eradication Commission, Dian Patria.
Patria ensured efforts to meet Bappenda to assist in optimizing regional revenue.
With the hope that there will be no loss to the state because it will deal with crime.
"The point is that companies must support Papua's development by obediently paying taxes because Papua's fiscal conditions are very limited at this time," he said.
Head of Samsat Jayapura, Dian Anggraini said not only two companies, there are some companies in arrears with PKB.
"So we presented the data of these two companies to the Corruption Eradication Commission because the value is the largest and we have difficulty billing," he said. ***
