JAYAPURA - Acting Governor of Papua Muhammad Ridwan Rumasukun appreciated the role of local female figures, Ety Buwani May who is considered meritorious in the socio-cultural category of anti-drug socialization.

She voluntarily and independently carried out anti-drug socialization in disadvantaged, frontier and outermost areas in Keerom Regency, received an award from the central government at the Peak of the 52nd Movement Unity Day (HKG) Commemoration of Family Welfare Mobilizer (PKK) and the 2024 PKK Cadre National Jamboree which took place at the Main Stage of Balekambang Park Solo, Central Java Province, last Thursday (16/5/2024).

"This achievement requires collaboration coordinated through the Technical of Regional Work Units to maintain it to achieve even better," explained Acting Governor Ridwan, in his statement delivered by the head of Papua Communication and Informatics via telephone connection, Monday (20/05/2024)

The awards of the socio-cultural field for women anti-narcotics activists, selected by the central government, came from 4 districts (Supiori, Keerom, Waropen and Mamberamo Raya).

The peak of the Movement Unity Day Commemoration was attended directly by Mrs. Iriana Joko Widodo and accompanied by the wife of the Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia, Mrs. Wury Ma'aruf Amin with the Advanced Indonesia Cabinet Era Solidarity Action Organization (OASE KIM), TP PKK Province, Kabupatan / City throughout Indonesia.
