JAYAPURA - The Papua provincial government reminded former officials to immediately return official cars not to impact the balance sheet or assets in related agencies.
According to Acting Assistant for Government Affairs of Papua Regional Secretariat, Yohanis Walilo, voluntary returns are urgently needed to avoid forced withdrawal by the provincial government.
"I don't think there should be a forced withdrawal and we don't think it's good," said Walilo in Jayapura City, Tuesday (21/5/2024)
He also reminded members of the local House of Representatives (DPR) to immediately return official vehicles towards the end of terms. Forced withdrawal is an attempt that will be made if there is no good faith.
"Initially, we will call and then the first and second summons will be made if we don't come, then the provincial government will take it by force," he said.
Yohanis hopes that there will no longer be a forced recall like the 90 official vehicles, some time ago.
"The 90 vehicles are from former members who had been there for 10 years so a forced recall was carried out," he said. ***
