NUMFOR - Acting Governor of Papua Muhammad Ridwan Rumasukun invites all parties on Numfor Island, Biak Numfor Regency, to fully support in handling of stunting and polio as central (national) government policy.

The handling of growth disorders in children, according to Rumasukun, prepares the golden generation on Numfor Island in 2024 to become future leaders.

"If the children are healthy and strong, future generations will be good. And among these children, there must be a regent or a governor."

"Therefore, we must keep children on Numfor Island to live healthy and useful lives for the people of the nation and state in the future," said Ridwan, on the sidelines of his visit, Saturday (25/5/2024).

The Acting Regent of Biak Numfor, Sofia Bonsapia appreciated the visit of the Governor and her entourage. Biak Numfor Regency is the area that has received the most attention from the Papua Provincial Government.

"We appreciate and are proud of the Acting Governor because on this occasion also started the implementation of the polio vaccine in Papua, on Numfor Island," she said.

While on a visit to Numfor Island, the Papua Provincial Government handed over some assistance including milk and eggs to help reduce stunting rates as well as medicines for mothers and children and basic necessities.

The Acting Governor during the visit was accompanied by the Acting Chairman of the Papua PKK Linda Onibala and several heads of provincial Regional Apparatus Organizations (OPD). ***
