JAYAPURA - The Papua Provincial Government officially handed over bus grants ex National Sports Week (PON) XX 2021 to foundations, religious institutions and schools.
The handover by the Assistant for Government Affairs of the Papua Regional Secretary Yohanes Walilo represented the Acting Governor of Papua, in the courtyard of the local Governor's Office, Soa Siu Street Dok II, Jayapura City, Wednesday (5/6/2024).
"The Acting Governor of Papua hopes that the bus can be used properly, maintained and don't forget to pay taxes," explained Assistant Walilo.
Meanwhile, the handover process is carried out first by stipulating the Governor's Decree of grant recipients to foundations, religious institutions and schools.
There are 60 units of buses donated out of 70 units given to Papua Province to divide them with the provisions of allocation for the three institutions.
"The buses handed over are very feasible, only the recipient of the grant must also immediately process the ownership letter. Because the bus still uses a special number plate for PON.
"So it must be processed immediately to change the name of ownership so that when used on the highway it has a certificate of ownership or permit by applicable regulations," said Walilo. ***
