JAYAPURA - The commemoration ceremony of the 79th Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia in Papua Province was solemn.
Taking place at the Mandala Jayapura Stadium on Saturday (17/8/2024), some Papua Provincial Government officials and DPRP Members wore traditional clothes of the local region.
The implementation of the Independence Day ceremony began at exactly 10.00 WIT, marked by the sound of sirens and cannons for 60 seconds.
The commemoration ceremony of the 2024 Indonesian Independence Day in Papua raised the theme, "New Nusantara, Advanced Indonesia".
Acting Governor of Papua Ramses Limbong acted as the Inspector of Ceremonies. Meanwhile, Lt. Col. Sus Anton acted as the Commander of the Ceremony at the Jayapura Mandala Stadium.
Meanwhile, the Red and White flag was hoisted by the best youth of Papua. The flag raisers, Alfred Moreno Masoka, Markus Ramandei, Simon Rovnom Marisan.
Alfred Moreno Masoka is a student of Lentera Harapan High School, Jayapura Regency. He is the son of Heri Masoka and Susana Wafu Milena.
Meanwhile, Markus Ramandei is from Waren State High School, Waropen Regency. The son of David Ramandei and Selepa Imbiri.
Simon Rovnom Marisan, a student of SMA Negeri 1 Biak Kota, Biak Numfor Regency is the son of Ekber Imanuel Marisan and Meti Imelda Wanma.
The recipient of the Red and White flag is Jeklin Stin Karoba Medlama. She is a student of YPPK Taruna Bakti High School.
On the 79th Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia, Papua also sent the best sons and daughters who joined Paskibraka at the national level. They are Kevin Imanuel Rumbino and Kristina Elisabet Duwiri.
Kevin Imanuel Rumbino is a student of SMA Negeri 4 Jayapura City. Meanwhile, Kristina is a student of Keerom Regency State High School. ***
