JAYAPURA - Acting Governor of Papua Ramses Limbong with the Deputy for State Border Management, National Border Management Agency (BNPP) of the Republic of Indonesia, Robert Simbolon, chaired a Multi Stakeholder meeting at the Skouw Cross Border Post (PLBN),Jayapura City, Tuesday (20/8/2024).
The meeting, which discussed the technical completion of the State Property (BMN) grant, was also attended by the Regional Government and other stakeholders in the core and supporting areas of PLBN Skouw.
In his direction, the Acting Governor gave a month to all local BMN recipients, immediately completed the grant administration and utilized and maximized assets to spur economic growth in the PLBN Skouw area.
"All relevant stakeholders, especially technical agencies in Papua Province, should immediately collaborate to build border areasto be more economically valuable from all sectors."
"The most important thing is that PLBN Skow must grow into a tourist destination in Papua that can spur the growth of other sectors. Including becoming a model for all border areas in the Republic of Indonesia," said Limbong.
Deputy for State Border Management of BNPP RI Robert Simbolon hopes that the PLBN Skouw area, which has more than 300 market seats, can be maximized to encourage economic growth, increasing local revenue.
"Moreover, the market at PLBN Skouw is the largest among PLBNs in Indonesia. So, it needs to be used to encourage the local economy and increase regional income," he said.
On that occasion, Acting Governor Limbong also took the time to review the entire PLBN Skouw Core area as well as supporting supervision, accompanied by the Assistant Regional Secretary of Papua, the Head of the relevant technical Regional Working Unit and the Head of PLBN Skouw. ***
