JAYAPURA – Acting Governor of Papua, Ramses Limbong, officially attended and opened the 14th Regional Conference of the Indonesian Young Entrepreneurs Association (HIPMI) of Papua Province on Monday, May 12, 2025.
In his opening remarks, the Acting Governor expressed his appreciation for the successful organization of the conference, calling it an important moment not only for electing new leadership but also for strengthening the role of young entrepreneurs in building a fair and sustainable economy in Papua.
The conference carried the theme: “Transformation of Papua’s Young Entrepreneurs: Innovation, Collaboration, Synergy, and Economic Acceleration,” which is considered in line with Papua’s long-term vision for 2025–2045 to achieve an advanced and sustainable Papua based on the blue economy and agro-industry.
He emphasized that Papua has great potential in the agriculture, marine, and tourism sectors, but cross-sector collaboration is needed. The Papua Provincial Government is ready to serve as a strategic partner in creating an inclusive economic ecosystem rooted in indigenous territories.
“Young entrepreneurs in Papua must come forward with new ideas, new technologies, and a spirit of collaboration in order to respond to challenges and seize opportunities,” he stated.
