JAYAPURA, August 4, 2025 – Acting Regional Secretary of Papua Province, Suzana D. Wanggai, led the Joint Ceremony at the Governor’s Office Courtyard, representing Acting Governor Agus Fatoni, who was on a working visit.

In her remarks, Wanggai called on all civil servants to actively participate in the Re-Vote and ensure their names are listed in the Final Voters List.

“Participation is a constitutional responsibility. As citizens of Papua, we must exercise our right to vote and determine our leadership for the next five years,” she said.

In anticipation of the 80th Anniversary of Indonesia’s Independence, all Regional Apparatus Organizations were instructed to raise the Red and White Flag and install independence-themed decorations.

“Budget constraints should not dampen our spirit of nationalism. Let it be seen in both symbolic and real actions,” Wanggai added.

Commenting on budget absorption, which stands at 43%, she urged all Regional Apparatus Organizations to accelerate spending and adjust programs based on current conditions.

“Prioritize effective and feasible programs. Avoid forcing activities that do not align with present realities,” she emphasized.

On the use of digital media, Wanggai reminded Civil Servants to practice wisdom on social platforms. She also asked the Department of Communication and Information Technology to continue mentoring official social media managers across regional offices, to maintain professionalism and uphold the government’s public image.

Wanggai concluded by urging civil servants to avoid internal divisions and foster collaboration across departments.

“Unity and teamwork are key to advancing Papua,” she concluded. ***
