Pengurus PB PON Segera Jalani Vaksinasi COVID-19 National Sports Week Committee Immediately Get Covid-19 Vaccination
Pengurus Panitia Besar Pekan Olahraga Nasional (PB PON) Papua dipastikan menjalani vaksinasi COVID-19 dalam beberapa pekan mendatang. The board of the National Sports Week Committee is confirmed to be vaccinated for COVID-19 in the coming weeks.
Pengurus Panitia Besar Pekan Olahraga Nasional (PB PON) Papua dipastikan menjalani vaksinasi COVID-19 dalam beberapa pekan mendatang.
Hal tersebut menindaklanjuti instruksi Presiden Jokowi, yang menghendaki agar pelaksanaan PON bebas dari penularan virus corona.
“Saya sudah instruksikan bidang kesehatan agar supaya jajaran kepanitiaan PON Papua segera divaksin (COVID-19).
Saya pikir ini yang harus kita lakukan untuk mencegah (penularan) dengan harapan, PON berjalan baik.
“Dan target kita dalam waktu dekat atau dalam beberapa pekan mendatang,” jelas Ketua Harian PB PON Papua Yunus Wonda di Jayapura, Selasa (23/3/2021).
Yunus juga menginstruksikan bidang kesehatan untuk berkoordinasi dengan pemerintah provinsi serta KONI Papua,
guna mendorong vaksinasi COVID-19 bagi atlet dan ofisial bumi cenderawasih yang akan terlibat dalam iven empat tahunan itu.
“Sebab seluruh atlet dan ofisial dari luar Papua pun harus divaksin. Demikian kita juga yang ada di Papua, baik atlet, ofisial, PB PON serta masyarakat sekitar venue,” pintanya.
Sekda Papua Dance Yulian Flassy sebelumnya juga mendorong pelaksanaan vaksinasi terhadap seluruh atlet bumi cenderawasih, dalam waktu dekat.
Sekda katakan dalam waktu yang tidak terlalu lama, akan mengundang pihak PB PON dan KONI Papua untuk bersinergi terkait pelaksanaan vaksinasi tersebut.
Pertemuan juga membicarakan persiapan pelaksanaan PON yang tetap digelar pada 2 s/d 15 Oktober 2021, sebagaimana penegasan Presiden Jokowi.
“Intinya, 1 atau 2 bulan sebelum PON para atlet Papua ini sudah harus di vaksin. Juga termasuk ofisial dan masyarakat sekitar venue.
Begitu pula kita akan selektif agar para atlet dan ofisial yang bakal datang ke Papua, semuanya wajib sudah divaksin,” pungkas dia.

It follows the instruction of President Jokowi, he wants the implementation of National Sports Week free from the transmission of Coronavirus.
"I have instructed the health sector so that the National Sports Week committee will be vaccinated immediately. I think this is what we have to do to prevent (transmission) as a hope that National Sports Week is going well.
"And our target in the near future or in the coming weeks," explained the Daily Chairman of National Sports Week Committee Yunus Wonda in Jayapura, Tuesday (3/23/2021).
Yunus also instructed the health sector to coordinate with the provincial government and KONI Papua, to encourage COVID-19 vaccination for athletes and officials who will be involved in the quadrennial event.
"All athletes and officials from outside Papua must also be vaccinated. Likewise we are also in Papua, both athletes, officials, committee and the community around the venue," he asked.
Regional Secretary of Papua, Dance Yulian Flassy has also previously encouraged the implementation of vaccinations for all athletes, in the near future.
The Regional Secretary will invite the committee and KONI Papua to synergize related to the implementation of vaccinations.
The meeting also discussed preparations for the implementation of National Sports Week which will still be held on 2 to 15 October 2021, as affirmed by President Jokowi.
"The point is, 1 or 2 months before the event, athletes already have to be vaccinated. It also includes officials and the community around the venue. Similarly, we will be selective so that the athletes and officials who will come to Papua, all must have been vaccinated," he concluded.
