Pelaksanaan PON dan Peparnas Diminta Melibatkan Seniman Papua

JAYAPURA - Pelaku seni dan budaya atau seniman seniwati se-tanah Papua menggelar acara "Temu Kangen" di Jayapura, Selasa (31/08/2021).

Acara temu kangen diinisiasi oleh DPD Komite Seni Budaya Nusantara (KSBN) Provinsi Papua, yang juga diikuti seniman ibukota, lewat virtual zoom dan live streaming.

Legislator DPRP Yonas Nusi, selaku Ketua Panitia Penyelenggara mengimbau berharap agar perhelatan PON XX dan Peparnas XVI, melibatkan para seniman Papua untuk mensukseskan multi event tersebut.

“Pemerintah dan PB PON harus melibatkan seniman-seniman Papua dalam menggelar dua event besar ini (PON dan Peparnas). Tapi saya juga mengajak semua pekerja seni di Tanah Papua untuk ikut mempromosikan bagaimana keragaman seni dan budaya di Bumi Cenderawasih,” harap dia di sela-sela kegiatan itu.

Hal yang tak kalah penting saat ini, lanjut dia, para pelaku seni dan budaya Papua harus mempersiapkan hasil karyanya untuk ditampilkan di momen-momen PON XX saat ini.

Dengan begitu, keberadaan PON bisa menjadi “pintu masuk” untuk berkarya tetapi juga untuk memajukan kesenian daerah.

Ketua KSBN Papua, Metusalem Wopari mengajak para seniman di Tanah Papua, menyatukan pikiran demi kemajuan dunia seni budaya daerah.

“Terutama untuk saat ini adalah dengan mendukung pelaksanaan PON melalui hasil karya seninya,” harap ia.

Diketahui, acara temu kangen sebelumnya menghadirkan pemateri diantaranya Dubes RI untuk New Zealand, Tantowi Yahya dengan materi Karya Seni Budaya Papua di mata dunia serta Ketua Harian PB PON Yunus Wonda membahas PON XX. ***

This Papuan artist meeting took place virtually and face-to-face while still implementing the Covid-19 health protocol.

Yonas Nusi said, in the implementation of National Sports Week XX and National Paralympic Week XVI need to involve Papuan artists. "The government and National Sports Week Committee must involve Papuan artists in succeeding National Sports Week XX in the land of Papua," said Yonas Nusi who is also chairman of the Committee of “Kangen Seniman-Seniwati Tanah Papua Se Indonesia''.

Furthermore, he invited art and cultural artists to participate in the success of National Sports Week by preparing his work, National Sports Week XX moment that will be held in a few weeks must be put to good use by artists in the Papua region.

The same thing was conveyed by the Chairman of the DPD KSBN of Papua Province, Metusalem Wopari said, KSBN is ready to succeed National Sports Week XX, on October 2-15.

Metusalem expects the committee to provide an exhibition booth or stand that will be used as an exhibition place for Papuan artwork.

"We ask for support from the committee to provide one exhibition venue at each venue for Papuan youth to show off their artwork," he hoped.
