JAYAPURA - Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy, Sandiaga Uno invited athletes, officials and all guests of the National Sports Week (PON) XX Papua to buy local products of Papua as souvenirs.
This is a form of support for economic success in Papua.
"Don’t forget to buy local Papuan creative products, there are Noken, hand knitting and souvenirs," Sandiaga said while monitoring the implementation of vaccinations in Jayapura City, Tuesday (09/21/2021).
Sandiaga, who on that occasion monitored the implementation of vaccinations, appreciated all those who supported the program. The vaccination coverage must continue to be improved, so that the economy will grow in the COVID-19 pandemic.
"I appreciate the private sector and other organizations in Jayapura City involved in the vaccination in Indonesian National Military-Naval Force. It's a good collaboration because we want to accelerate vaccination."
"Indonesian National Military-Naval Force was ordered to allocate vaccinations in all regions of Indonesia including in Papua, I appreciate this as well," he said.
It is known, the Indonesian Navy continues to ramp up vaccination in Papua, especially in four clusters holding the National Sports Week (PON) XX Papua, namely Jayapura City, Jayapura Regency, Mimika Regency and Merauke Regency.
Commander of Naval Base (Lantamal) X, Brig. Gen. Indonesian National Armed Force (Mar) Feryanto P. Marpaung admitted, the invasion of Indonesian National Military-Naval Force Vaccination has been carried out since last June or has been almost three months. A total of 24,000 more doses of the vaccine have been injected into local residents.
"The number of people who managed to vaccinate is 24 thousand more. We do not stop, every day we continue to carry out vaccination raids," Feryanto said.
He said the vaccination raid was held to help the local government in achieving the target of 70 percent vaccination coverage ahead of National Sports Week XX.
"The target is 70 percent of the community must have been vaccinated before the National Sports Week will be held. At the moment we see the figure is around 65 percent," he said.
