JAYAPURA - Head of The Papua Provincial Communication and Informatics Department, Jery Yudianto said the virtual booth page of the Papua Provincial Government at the Pacific Exposition 2021, mostly visited by foreign nationals such as the United Kingdom.
Although only about 20 virtual visitors over the past two days, it is a challenge for the Papua Provincial Government in presenting tourism, arts and culinary fields in each booth displayed.
"The local tourists at the booth have not been there yet. More foreigners and the Papua Provincial Government have prepared translators who are mostly indigenous Papuan youth."
"These officers are fluent in English, Japanese and others," Jery told reporters on Thursday (10/28/2021) in Jayapura.
He admitted, the Pacific Exposition event is actually a new thing for the Papua Provincial Government to enter the digitalization order, where the goal is to introduce to the world digitally.
Even so, it ensures that the virtual booth prepared is worth visiting by the citizens of the world, where in accessing it just click the link on the website that has been provided.
"Technically also we prepare supporting infrastructure with adequate capacity, the organizers have provided five accounts to be managed during the three days of implementation on October 27-30, 2021".
"Even in the virtual booth there is a chat column, so that visitors who come to the booth and want to ask something related to the content that is aired," he explained.
Pacific Exposition 2021 officially opened on Wednesday (10/27/2021). The event took place on October 27-30, 2021 and was held virtually.
