JAYAPURA – Currently Indonesia exists in the digital literacy era, which requires the ability of users (citizens) in utilizing digital media, such as communication tools, internet networks and to make money (income).
Responding to this, The Head of the Communications and Informatics Department of Papua, Jery A. Yudianto, encouraged local millennials in Papua to be able to take part in it. One of the best prospects in the current era of digitalization is involved in the creation of "start-ups".
"For example, in increasing economic growth in the Papua region through the Pacific Exposition 2021, we appreciate the many youth involved such as translators and so on," Jery explained in Jayapura, Thursday (10/28/2021).
Jery said in the near future Papua Province will hold the National Paralympic Week XVI (Peparnas) where this event can be used by local millennials to promote products by digital literacy.
Those ways, millennials not only participate in the success of government programs, but also have strong potential to get income from the national event.
"It requires skill, willingness and seriousness. Millennial can use digital literacy to get a job, "he said.
With regard to this, Jery also hopes that through the commemoration of the 93rd Youth Oath Day on October 28, 2021, it is expected that local millennials can give positive colors in their respective fields.
"Because of course in the future, especially Papua, the youth as a part that cannot be separated from the peace of Papua," he concluded. ***
