"The HIV/AIDS problem has become a global issue that demands more attention from every country in the world."
"Because in addition to increasing the burden of health services, AIDS also results in death," he explained.
He added, to make Papua clean from HIV / AIDS, hard work and the commitment of all sectors is clearly needed, both in terms of activities and budgeting.
"Therefore, as the regional head of Papua Province, I appreciate this inauguration. So that the administrators are expected to synergize with all parties in tackling the spread of HIV / AIDS," he hoped.
Daily Chairman of the Papua AIDS Prevention Commission, Dr. Anton Mote told the press after inauguration, he was ready to work hard to save those who had been infected and maximize the handling and countermeasures of the deadly virus.
The next effort is to solve those who belong to the at-risk group and try to reduce the mortality rate of indigenous Papuans due to HIV / AIDS.
"In accordance with the governor's emphasis that the chain of spread of HIV must be ended, so prevention becomes our leading effort. Of course we will collaborate with all parties to reduce the number of HIV cases in Papua," he concluded. ***
