JAYAPURA - Deputy for Production Statistics of Central Statistics Agency of Republic of Indonesia, M. Habibullah appealed to all Regional Apparatus Organization of the Papua Provincial Government, to utilize the Statistical Management and Collaboration System (SIMACE) application, to become a forum for the implementation of Indonesian data and the realization of an effective national statistical system.
"Including taking a role and actively contributing to the development of the national statistics system in Indonesia," said Habibullah, when launching the SIMACE application at one of the hotels in Jayapura City, Tuesday (11/30/2021).
Meanwhile, Head of Central Statistics Agency of Papua Province, Adriana Carolina said the application is a system that is able to meet the needs of statistical data management in Papua.
In addition, it is a one get system or web application that summarizes and documents sectorial statistical activities. Where, in general, it consists of sectoral statistical activities as well as statistical coaching." This means that on this web there is sectoral data from Regional Apparatus Organization and there is also statistical coaching. So that they can open this application and learn about statistics on the web" "Because with the amount of data circulating and released by Regional Apparatus Organization and agencies in Papua, we realize there needs to be a container for data collection. Not only to compile the data that has been collected, but also helps to complete it in accordance with the principle of one Indonesian data," he said.
Adriana added, SIMACE application is one of the innovations in the framework of efforts to implement statistical development in Papua Province.
It is hoped that the application can increase the role of the Central Statistics Agency as a statistical data builder. In addition, it can increase the capacity of data guardians and statistical data producers.
"The point is we want to contribute to improving data governance in Papua," she said. ***
