JAYAPURA - Kendi Nusantara procession or the unification of land and water from 34 provinces, was held in the zero point area of the State Capital, East Kalimantan, Monday (03/14/2022).

Papua province is fourth in the ritual process of the Kendi Nusantara.

According to the Head of the General Bureau and Protocol of the Regional Secretariat of Papua Province, Elipus Hugi, it is an award from President Joko Widodo for the eastern province of Indonesia.

On the other hand, it provides the pride for Papua which actually gets the attention of the center.

"I did not expect that Papua was called up in 4th place. Papua was usually mentioned at the end then West Papua. The President greatly appreciates Papua," Elpius said by telephone on Tuesday (03/15/2022).

It is known, Elipius Hugi was also present in the Kendi Nusantara procession accompanying Assistant III of Regional Secretariat of Papua, Derek Hagemur who was present on behalf of the Governor of Papua, Lukas Enembe to hand over water and land from Papua.

According to Elpius, the union of land and water brought by each region of the 34 provinces means that everyone has equal rights in the development of the State Capital.

"This also means that President Jokowi appreciates everything in Indonesia, especially Papua Province. He appreciates all tribes and nations," Elpius said.

Elipus also hopes that the “Kendi Nusantara” ritual can be interpreted by all the nations to unite and build their respective regions.

Previously, President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) led the Kendi Nusantara procession or the unification of land and water from 34 provinces in the Zero Point area of State Capital, East Kalimantan on Monday (03/14/2022).

Land and water are brought directly by each governor from their respective regions to be united into the Kendi Nusantara at the construction site of the Capital City. ***
