JAYAPURA - Acting Head of the General Bureau and Protocol of the Papua Province Regional Secretariat, Elpius Hugi, encouraged relevant agencies to immediately intervene to respond to puddles that often occur when rains, on the protocol road in front of the Dok II Governor Office, Jayapura.
"The road in front of the Governor Office is a protocol road. So it must look neat and not dusty like today."
"It means, it is submerged in water when it rains, leaving dust and soil when it is dry. Of course it can be like this, we hope it can be handled immediately," Elpius told the press, Wednesday (23/3/2022).
Elpius also encouraged collaboration between the Papua Provincial Public Works Department and the Jayapura City Public Works Department to overcome the puddles.
"Because this puddle is also quite disturbing for road users," he explained.
Meanwhile, regarding the ex-dive venue building that is currently commercialized by customary parties for restaurants and cafes, it is stated that it has not been able to do anything considering that PB PON XX Papua is still under inspection by the Financial Audit Board of the Republic of Indonesia.
"The former dive venue is currently still under investigation. So we haven't done anything yet."
"After auditing, it will be discussed about it and the point is that the building cannot be converted . Because it is an eyesore for the Governor Office," he said. ***
