JAYAPURA - The Papua Provincial Government continues to innovate to improve services to the community. At this time, the Spatial Information System (SIMTARU) version 2.0 application was officially launched to facilitate the delivery of data and information about space utilization to district / city governments and communities that will contribute to development.

 "Therefore, this application I officially launched to be used by the community, especially those who have Ulayat Rights. So there is no need to send correspondence anymore, but only with the mobile phone can send information faster and more accurately," said Elsye at the launch of SIMTARU version 2.0, on the sidelines of Public Consultation III Preparation of RTRW Papua Revision, Thursday (24/3/2022), in Jayapura. 

He ensured that the existence of SIMTARU 2.0 will maximize the delivery of information from the public regarding problems in each environment. Because the SIMTARU 2.0 application is designed to convey information quickly, which is then immediately responded to by the local government.

"Even this application is not only useful in the supervision and control of spatial planning, but also useful for solving social problems quickly"

"Such as, related to planning, utilization and control of space utilization. Therefore, in the future through the SIMTARU application, the process of checking licensing permits can be done from anywhere, even the public can report indications of spatial violations," he said.

It is known that the SIMTARU application has been developed since 2015. The launch of the latest version of the SIMTARU application is a collaboration between Regional and Local Development Planning Agency of Papua and the Papua Spatial Planning (PSP) Program supported by the Ministry of Home Affairs and the UK Government. ***
