JAYAPURA - The Head of the Marine Affairs and Fisheries Department of Papua, Iman Djuniawal, confirmed that the Technical Material Document for coastal waters of Papua Province is now ready to be integrated with the local Provincial Spatial Plan (RTRW).
This was agreed at the Final Focus Group Discussion (FGD) Meeting on the Zoning Plan for Coastal areas and Small Islands (RZWP3-K) of Papua Province, Wednesday (13/4/2022).
If realized, continued Iman, the integration will support the ease of investment and preservation of coastal and marine resources on Cenderawasih Earth.
"This means that with this RZWP3-K, it will open up job opportunities." This is one of the job solutions for the people of the Papua region," Iman told the press on Thursday (14/4/2022).
Iman said, the business world in Papua currently expects the completion of the determination of RZWP3K. Because of the presence of RZWP3K regulation, more or less provides certainty related to the licensing of the use of marine space.
"RZWP3K will provide five main guarantees, namely the suitability of investment locations, sustainability of the investment environment, profitable investment activities, legal certainty over investment locations, and the acquisition of investment activity location permits".
"And this will benefit the Papua region and the people as well," he stressed.
