JAYAPURA - Regency and city governments throughout Papua Province, are asked to routinely simulate disaster management, so that people in each region understand how and early rescue efforts.
"The point is this routine simulation is to minimize the occurrence of victims during disasters. So this is very important to do," explained the Head of the Papua Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) Welliam R. Manderi, in Jayapura, Tuesday (26/4/2022).
In addition, Welliam Manderi hopes that the people in each of his homes routinely simulate with their family. Because they are believed to be more familiar with the conditions and situations in their respective environments.
"And the main thing is because the family in the house knows the condition. So it should be standby from inside the house itself which is important, in order to reduce the risk of victims, "explained Welliam.
In addition to routinely simulating disaster mitigation, he added, his party appealed to the BPBD regency and city to also simulate fire prevention. ***
