JAYAPURA - The Papua Provincial Government will celebrate the independence day of the Republic of Indonesia on August 17, 2022 at the Lukas Enembe Stadium, Kampung Harapan, Jayapura Regency.

The celebration of the Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia will be held at the Lukas Enembe Stadium, so as not to disturb the activities of residents in Jayapura City during the flag ceremony, which is usually held at the Mandala Jayapura Stadium.

"The Lukas Enembe Stadium has a large parking lot so it is the most appropriate option to celebrate it there".

"So as not to interfere with community activities," Assistant of the Papuan Regional Secretary for Economic Affairs and People's Welfare, Muhammad Musa'ad, in Jayapura, Friday.

Still, according to Musa'ad, the concentration of Independence Day celebrations at the Lukas Enembe Stadium, was also based on the direction of the Governor of Papua.

So that currently preparations are being made so that the implementation runs as it should.

"By the relocation of the celebration venue, there will be a new format that we use. But we are used to this, especially since the Lukas Enembe Stadium is a government asset that can be utilized".
