JAYAPURA - In the implementation of monitoring and evaluation and ranking of information disclosure of public agency throughout Papua Province in 2022, the Head of the Communication and Informatics Department of Papua Province, Jeri Agus Yudianto, led the return of Self-Assessment Questionnaire (SAQ) of monitoring and evaluation to the Papua Provincial Information Commission, at the Papua Provincial Information Commission Office, Entrop, Jayapura City, Friday, (21/10/2022).
According to the Head of the Papua Provincial Communication and Informatics, Jeri Agus Yudianto, today's meeting is as an obligation of his party as a public agency within the Papua Provincial government, especially the Papua Province Communication and Informatics Department to participate in monitoring and evaluation as a compliance with public agency organized by the Papua Provincial Information Commission.
"Of course, with the hope that what we do is a form of transparency to the public, because everything is on the website of our Information and Documentation Management Officer (PPID). Also for the public to ask for information with the existing provisions, we also have a desk in our place that is prepared," explained Jeri who came to the Papua Provincial Information Commission Office with a number of his staff at the Communication and Informatics Department of Papua Provincial.
In addition, Jeri also said that his party hopes that in the future all PPID public bodies in the Papua Provincial government can also actively participate in this monitoring and evaluation activity. "So that the mandate of Law Number 14 of 2008 concerning Public Information Disclosure (Law on Public Information Disclosure) for us, especially those in the Papua Provincial government, we carry it out for a better Papua," he explained.
In the previous monitoring and Ranking of Information Disclosure of Public Bodies throughout Papua Province in 2021, the Communication and Informatics Department won the Informative Public Agency category, so Jeri hopes to maintain the title. The reason is that it is one of their working mechanisms in the Communication and Informatics Department of Papua Province.
"We are optimistic that this year, of course, the value is better, the ranking is part of the performance to the public. So actually, it is not our main goal but how we can carry out the mandate of the Public Information Disclosure Law. Indeed, the assessment is necessary, but the main thing for us is that we carry out the mandate of the Public Information Disclosure Law," explained Jeri.
The Chairman of the Papua Provincial Information Commission, Wilhelmus Pigai, admitted that he really appreciated the leaders of public bodies who had a high commitment to filling out and returning the self-assessment questionnaire in the monitoring and ranking of Information Disclosure of public agency throughout Papua Province in 2022.
"We welcome it, because this is a government public body visiting and returning the questionnaire on time. This monitoring is an annual program of KI Papua in measuring the implementation or application of public information disclosure in public agency," said Wilhelmus who was accompanied by Deputy Chairman of Papua Information Commission Andriani Waly with 3 commissioners of Papua Information Commission, namely Syamsuddin Levi, Joel Betuel Agaki Wanda, and Henry Winston Muabuay.
