JAYAPURA - All residents in the country today commemorate National Heroes Day, which is also a symbol of the struggle of the Indonesian nation to become free from the invaders, to then independently build their area.
The main purpose of commemorating National Heroes Day is to commemorate the services of those who have died on the battlefield for Indonesian independence. Therefore, young people in Papua are currently asked to be able to continue the struggle of heroes through participation in development.
"In a sense, young Papuans must have persistent values and a spirit of unity, because this young generation is the holder of the baton of development".
"So that this young generation should be invited and hope to continue the struggle through participation in the development process," explained the Head of the Papua Communication and Informatics Service (Kominfo), Jeri. Yudianto, in Jayapura, Thursday (10/11/2022).
Jeri also invited the younger generation of Papuans at the commemoration of National Heroes Day to cultivate a strong sense of community and fighting spirit in order to jointly improve the economy after the COVID-19 Pandemic on Cenderawasih Earth.
"Surely we will remember the persistence of the people in seizing and defending independence".
"But our struggle is certainly not the same as that of the warriors who have died on the battlefield. Of course, we just have to continue to be enthusiastic and unyielding and can always take advantage of every potential that exists and with the government to encourage economic recovery as well of course from COVID-19," he invited.
Jeri added that currently the impact of the inflation rate due to the global economic crisis has made several food prices in Papua increase.
Therefore, in order to maintain price stability, there must be good cooperation from the community, including the younger generation to participate with local governments to restore regional communication. ***
