JAYAPURA - The Manis Zola Papua application or Papua Sea Zone System Information Management, was officially launched by the local Marine and Fisheries Service, on Thursday (24/11/2022).
The launch of the application by Assistant III of the Papua Regional Office, Derek Hegemur at the peak of the 2022 National Fish Day commemoration at the Papua Province level, which was centered at the Papua Province Marine and Fisheries Service Office, Jayapura City.
The application, intended to provide an overview of data and information relating to the governance of marine space.
"So far, we only know the Regional Spatial Plan (RTRW) in general, but in the sea zone there is also a spatial plan called RZWP3K," he said, on the sidelines of the launch of the application.
Derek still said, with the presence of this application, in the future knowledge about governance and marine space is not only owned by the government, but also everyone, individuals, agencies and others.
"The planning document in RZWP3K is not easily accessible, therefore it is to make it easier so we make the Manis Zola Papua application," he added.
The Head of Papua Marine and Fisheries, Iman Djuniawal said, Manis Zola Papua is a website-based application that displays various kinds of utilization information related to the sea zone or Papuan marine spatial planning based on the RZWP3K of Papua Province.
"The benefits of Manis Zola Papua for local governments display information on planning activities, utilization and control of Papuan marine spatial planning," he explained.
The Manis Zola Papua application can also be used by the community and entrepreneurs to increase activities with a marine spatial plan. ***
