JAYAPURA - The Papua Regional Planning and Development Agency (Bappeda) encourages provincial Regional Apparatus Organizations to immediately complete all contractual activities with third parties, in order to pursue a budget absorption target of more than 90 percent by the end of this year.
According to the Head of the Papua Provincial Planning and Development Agency Yohanis Walilo, all contracts with third parties must be completed before December 31, 2022.
Nevertheless, he hopes that all Regional Apparatus Organizations can complete it before the Christmas celebration on December 25, 2022.
"This budget absorption is just a matter of counting the weeks, especially on contractual activities".
"I hope everything will be completed on December 31, 2022, but it will return to each existing Regional Apparatus Organization," explained Walilo, in Jayapura, Friday (9/12/2022).
Walilo said that currently the absorption of the budget in Papua Provincial Government is still below 90 percent because most third parties often do billing at the end of the fiscal year.
"So, in Papua, progress is often seen to be slow. Therefore, I again ask the Head of Regional Apparatus Organization to be able to immediately encourage the completion of the contract. So that the progress of budget absorption can be seen clearly," he hoped.
The same was conveyed by the Assistant for Economic Affairs and People Welfare of the Papuan Regional Secretary, Muhammad Musa'ad.
He hopes that all Regional Apparatus Organization will speed up the process of contractual activities, so that budget absorption can progress and achieve the targets. ***
