JAYAPURA - Expert staff of Papua Governor Elsye Penina Rumbekwan encouraged the Representative of the Ombudsman in the region to continue to build sustainable synergies with local governments.
More specifically in terms of supervision of the implementation of public services by state and government organizers in its territory.
This was conveyed by Elsye Rumbekwan at the position handover and Farewell and Welcome the Head of the Ombudsman Representative of the Republic of Indonesia, Papua Province, from the previous leader Iwanggin Sabar Olif to the new official Yohanes Babtis Jaka Rusmanta which was witnessed directly by the Deputy Chairman of the Ombudsman of the Republic of Indonesia, Bobby Hamzar Rafinus, Thursday (15/12), in Jayapura.
While commenting on the handover process, Elsye said in the management of the organization, personnel turnover or mutation of officials is a mandatory thing to do for the organization to be healthy.
On the other hand, with the holding of the position handover, the Papua Provincial Government expressed its gratitude to the old officials.
"Hopefully, what the predecessors have done can be maintained and continue to establish communication and coordination with all parties properly to the new officials," he hoped.
Meanwhile, the Head of the Indonesian Ombudsman Representative for Papua, Yohanes Babtis Jaka Rusmanta, said that his party would be ready to consolidate to ensure that the team remained solid in supervising public services by state administration.
"Also communicating with religious leaders and traditional leaders, in my opinion, people still believe in religious leaders in Papua. So there is courage from the people to come report when their rights are violated or when they are not well served," he told reporters.
He also said the Ombudsman is ready to assist the community to provide services that are in accordance with the rules and commitments of the service. Because every office has a service commitment that they have made.
"We will also carry out a program from the central government for a compliance opinion survey, we will assess the local government of both provincial districts/cities and the police for their service to the public. How do they provide service facilities that can be accessed by the community easily," he said. ***
